各位香港電台聽眾晚安，我很高興和夏博士一起。我很期待在領事館分享我家鄉的背景。
Good evening to the listeners of RTHK. I am very happy to be with Dr. Ha. I am looking forward to share my hometown background in the Consulate.
1.南非有什麼特色的文化?
非常感謝給我這個機會來告訴大家南非的文化。除了剛剛的介紹，現在我要說的是南非的多元文化。您知道，可以從各種角度了解一個國家。我們有開普馬來人，在開普省我們有印度人， 有林波波省和豪登省，有普馬蘭加省，有在東開普省的伊莉莎白港，有非洲人，所以在南非其實是有一定數量的土著居民人口。 然後我會解釋在南非你能夠找到的多樣性和文化。
正如我所說，南非是一個多元化的國家，讓我提出一天來展示我們的文化，這就是“遺產日”，通常在每年的9月24日。 它被稱為遺產日。 準確來說，這一天旨在提醒人們他們的文化和傳統。 在那天，各種人口聚集在一起，他們以各種方式慶祝自己的文化，包括跳舞，吃飯甚至唱歌，所以那天會有很多活動。 整個南非都在慶祝這一天

在開齋節的時候慶祝。基督教徒慶祝復活節。不同宗教會慶祝他們的節日。 還有，農曆新年。真是一個驚喜！我們會慶祝農曆新年因為約翰尼斯堡有一定人數的華人和宗教。我會說約翰尼斯堡是商業中心，你能夠那裏找到很多南非不同的人口種族。
暫時剛才那些說的都是我們的重點節日，但是如果你去文化節的官方網站，我們還有一個每年都會舉行很大型的文化節日。還有，在整個九月都稱為歷史和文化月，我們有格拉罕鎮藝術節。格拉罕鎮是位於東開普省，在伊莉莎白港外面的。因此這裏你能找到很多國際文化，多元文化的地方。這個節日是開放給每一個人參加而且很盛大。
1.Can you please introduce some special cultures or events in your own country?
Let me start by saying thank you very much for giving me this opportunity to explain about South Africa’s culture. By the way of the introduction, now I will say South Africa is a multi part of cultures. You know, from a various perspective to find into a country. You have Cape Malays, in the cape you have Indians. You have Limpopo and Gauteng, you have mpumalanga, you have Port Elizabeth in the eastern cape. You have African, so there are quite a number of indigenous and you know population groups in South Africa. Then I explain the diversity and cultures that you find in South Africa.
South Africa set down, as I said, we are a diverse nation, let’s come up with one single day that we showcase our culture and that is the Heritage Day which is normally held at every 24th of September. It is called Heritage Day. Precisely, the date is meant to remind the people of their culture and heritage. What happens on that day is that various population groups gather together, and they celebrate their cultures in various way, dancing, food and even singing. So many activities happen around that day. The whole South Africa is celebrating that day because of our different culture. It is a public holiday, so we celebrate our cultures and what is very important is that we celebrate our unity and diversity.
Well, because South Africa has got as I said various population groups, such as we have Indians, and we even have Chinese for your information. Yes, so you will find that different things are being celebrated. The Eid, during the Eid time it’s celebrated by the Muslim. The Christians will celebrate the Easter Holidays. Different religions will celebrate their own one. And also, the Chinese New Year. What a surprise! We do celebrate because it is mostly celebrated Johannesburg where there is quite a size of Chinese population and religions, in Johannesburg. Let me say it is a business heart where you find almost all the population of South Africa.
Well, so far those are the highlights that we have, but also if you go on official website on cultural festivals, we have one big cultural festival that happen every year. Also, in the whole of September which is dedicated to the Heritage and cultural month, so we have what we called Grahamstown Arts Festival. Grahamstown is the town that is in the eastern cape just outside port Elizabeth, not far from port Elizabeth. Port Elizabeth is now called the Nelson Mandela Bay, so that is where you find that international cultures where various culture on that place internationally. That one is open to everyone so it is quite significant.
2.請問總領事喜歡香港什麼文化?
這是我第三年來到香港，我十分享受。沒有，我之前沒有來過香港，這是第一次。哇！我最喜歡香港的文化…我會說一部份是點心。我很喜歡，我很喜歡。我有一個朋友曾經帶我到一間傳統酒樓，可以享受點心。我喜歡去一些地道的地方。我去了那裏兩次，我很享受。至於我最喜愛的點心，我不是十分清楚要選擇那一款，不過只要是點心，我都喜歡。我喜愛點心！
2.What is your favorite culture about Hong Kong?
This is my third year and I am enjoying it. And no, I did not come to Hong Kong before, this is my first time. Wow! The best culture I like about Hong Kong, let me just say the dim sum part of it. I like it, I like it. I have a friend who take me to, you know, the traditional restaurant, there is a very big community, restaurants, where you enjoy dim sum. I like to go to the native area. I went there twice, and I enjoy it. For my favourite dim sum, well, I am not very sure on which one, but as long as dim sum, I like it. I like dim sum.
3.請總領事介紹一下南非的國花
我們有國花-帝王花。帝王花象徵國家的轉變。我們很喜歡帝王花。我們的板球隊
，國家板球隊採用了帝王花的名字來成為他們的官方名稱，他們叫作帝王花。非常漂亮，叫作帝王花。這是南非的國花。我們需要這朵花當我們慶祝任何事情例如國慶日，自由日在每年的4月27日。當我需要主持一個派對時，你便會看到這些花朵。它備受尊重，所有人都喜歡它。我們可以在一些很特別的地方找到它，例如弗因博斯。
3. Are there any national flower of South Africa?
Yes. Yes. We have the national flower- The king protea. The king protea symbolize the change and transformation in the country. We love king protea so much that our cricket team, the national cricket team adopted it as their official name. They are called the Proteas. Very beautiful. They are called the king protea. This is the national flower of South Africa. We need this flower whenever we celebrate anything like the national day, or freedom day on the 27th of April every year. If I am hosting the party, you will see those flowers. It is highly respected and everybody loves it. We find it in the special areas, the fynbos area.
4.可不可以教我們一些俚語？
有一句俚語南非人很喜歡的。它是Local is lekker! 意思是任何東西你在當地找到的都很好。Local is lekker意思是無論任何東西你在南非找到，不論是食物，不論是……任何東西你找到或者是你說的，或是你去觀光，我們都會說很好。
4. Can you please teach some trendy slangs in your language?
There is a slang that south African love most wherever people. It said Local is lekker which means whatever you get locally is good. Local is lekker means whatever you find in South Africa that whether it’s food, whether it’s… anything that you find or you talk, or you go to sightseeing, we all will say it is good. Local is lekker!
