The 2nd Hong Kong Arts Festival was held in 1974. The first programme performed by Sydney Symphony Orchestra with the conductor Hiroyuki Iwaki. Hong Kong Governor Sir Murray MacLehose (1917-2000) addressed his speech before the concert.
